Mine Managers

In order for a mine to work effectively a team of workers is the key to success.

At Geevor, the management consisted of the General Manager, or Managing Director who had a Mine Manager to help him.  There was also Mine Captains  and shift bosses who managed the underground sections of the mine. These managers were responsible for the safe running of the mine.

In the Mill, the Mill Superintendent was responsible for the workers for efficient processing of the valuable minerals.

To assist the management teams were Engineers, Geologists, Ventilation Officers, Surveyors, Samplers, Assayers, Metallurgists and Chemists as well as administration and reception staff.
