Other Metals Produced in Cornwall.pdf

Other metals in Cornwall

lode material underground

What metals do you find down Cornish mines?

The rocks around this part of Cornwall were mineralised with veins that contained the ores of several different metals. Apart from copper and tin, many other metals and semi metals including zinc, lead, antimony, arsenic, bismuth, tungsten, iron, uranium, silver and gold are found in Cornwall. Some of these metals occurred in large enough quantities to be mined on their own, but most were recovered whilst mining for copper and tin.
